Order management

It is easy to enter transport requests and handle them all the way up to and including invoicing. Planners, drivers and customers have access to the same information in the Terra Logistics order system, so the data only need to be entered once. Paper shipment lists are a thing of the past. The company and the customer always have up-to-date information on the status of transport requests, and unnecessary administrative work is avoided.

How is an order carried out?

In the order management software you enter orders to carry cargo from one place to another, along with any necessary information, such as weight, format, product information and more. If additional integrations are built, Terra Logistics transport requests also go automatically into the other systems you use, so all the information only needs to be entered once. Another option is giving customers access to their own customer portal, where they can register transport orders. Automatic email notifications inform the employee and the recipient about the transport order.

As soon as the driver delivers the goods, the invoice can be prepared automatically in the system. After the administration checks it, the invoice is sent, or the transport order is added to a collective invoice together with other transport orders. Special costs for the route can easily be added: waiting hours, repacking costs, booking costs and the like.

Which systems create the most added value?

The order-centric Terra Logistics transport management system integrates sales order and purchase order management into the transport management process to increase efficiency, configurability and flexibility. Because the system is "centered" on orders rather than just on dispatching shipments, it gives an overall view of the supply chain. With the right integrations, information can flow from picking and storing goods to delivering them.

Orders are split into loads by applying information and rules about inventory, supply and replenishment to make smarter planning and execution decisions. Terra Logistics uses API-based integration and treats shipments as one aspect of a larger ecosystem, so users gain useful insight into related processes and information. For example, timely alerts let you react to problems proactively or combine repair or upgrade stages.

What makes Terra Logistics a modern system in the supply chain?

The modern supply chain is defined by constant change. Product life cycles are getting shorter, and globalization increases uncertainty from environmental, structural and political disruptions. Supply chain networks are becoming more and more dynamic, as companies must keep reshaping their partnerships to keep up with changing market and delivery needs. In this new reality, optimization can no longer rely on the slow, methodical perfection of static modeling. In a world defined by constant change and uncertainty, optimization is achieved through adaptation, and therefore through flexibility, agility and dynamism.

A transport management system centered on the transport order is highly configurable. When new parameters are needed because partners, needs or context change, updated rules let the system adapt immediately. When problems or obstacles come up on the road, real-time communication and alerts give agility and allow a quick course correction. With a full overview of each order and the supply chain, companies can organize orders efficiently across their networks while still examining the details.

An order-centric system is ideal for today's and tomorrow's supply chain, because it does not need to be assembled layer by layer from systems and software to make up for what it lacks, whether that is missing modes, routes or customer information. Terra Logistics is a product of the natural and continuous evolution of the supply chain, so the advantage of this solution is not only that it adapts to new companies, but also that it makes it easier to introduce innovations across a dynamic network. It is built to help businesses master constant change, so they can start growing into the future instead of struggling to stay afloat in the present.
